Would highly recommend. Older place but kept up immaculately. Very clean. Very clean rooms. We stayed with another couple who agree with all mentioned. Grounds kept up with. Only stayed one night during our travel to our final destination but could tell this would be a nice place to stay for longer stay. I don't believe they offered breakfast but could be wrong. We left rather early and did not inquire. "Quaint"

We did a 2 bedroom suite , I like how we can control the room’s temperature separate as my mom who’s 90 was cold perfect for her. The kitchen was small but it was good , the only things is you should switch the refrigerator door so it open the other way. As it was awkward. The place was clean . I suggest to tie all the cables together would make it neater. Also if u plan on working on a laptop. The internet is not good here, location was good , Hanford was right down the street pets are allowed for a 35$ fee

Great little spot. We stayed in the “large 1 bedroom cottage.” Pros- -It was clean, quiet and provided lots of privacy -Super dog friendly! Which was a must for us -Parking situation was easy and convenient, it was near full vacancy and we could park right in front of ours the whole time -uniquely situated in between Oqunquit, Kennebunkport, Portland etc. (also Wells Harbor beach is dog friendly!) -great $ value on a Labor Day weekend -a bunch of great restaurants in the area, no need to drive into town if you want to avoid the hassle -the AC unit was surprisingly effective -bed was comfy Some constructive feedback: -Please provide more toiletries to guests so we don’t have to come ask for more. There was one roll of toilet paper for two people, one little thing of shampoo etc, for the whole weekend. We needed more of pretty much everything. -the “hand wash your dishes or be charged a $100 fee” policy is a weird thing to expect of your guests when you don’t provide a dishwasher, a drying rack, or even paper towels in the room. Other than that still worth 5 stars and would stay again

This spot is how it appears— a small, affordable, pet-friendly motel! We stayed in a two-queens room (clean) with mini fridge and microwave. The kids used the pool and had a great time with it! Plenty of seating for parents to watch. No lifeguard. They do spray the rooms with some kind of overpowering deodorizing spray when the clean the rooms. It gave me headache when we checked in but dissipated throughout the day. Close to beaches, shops, restaurants, and mini-golf, but be warned… traffic is quite bad, as are the mosquitos at night.

I really enjoyed my stay at Anchor Inn & Cottages. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked sitting out on the upstairs porch outside my room with coffee in the am. There is a small fridge & microwave. The grounds are pleasant & well kept with plenty of parking. The staff were pleasant & helpful. It’s a perfect place to stay with my small dog in York. I will definitely be back!

We loved this place! The location was perfect. The grounds are perfectly kept, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was quiet and safe …guests sit outside, walk their dogs, grill and swim in the pool. We didn’t bring pets but it’s SUPER pet friendly. Our family of 6 stayed in a cottage and 2 rooms. We were able to cook breakfast and some dinner in the fully stocked kitchen. Perfect beach cabins!

We stay at the Anchor Inn every year and it never disappoints! It’s family friendly, quiet, great location and CLEAN! Staff comes and restocks and cleans up every day. The property and pool are well taken care of. The staff is friendly and on top of everything. They even have a few yard games for guests which my busy 7 year old loved! We can’t wait to go back next year!

I love how they don’t have carpeted rooms!!! It smelled so good when we first entered and when they come in to clean and make the beds and restock! I loved it here, I’d definitely book again and again! So many cute doggies! (Pet friendly even tho we didn't bring pets it’s pet friendly and our room didn’t smell like pets it smelled really clean!! ) parking during the weekend was a little crazy, weekends are the prime time! Room service people were great they came in and cleaned around us/ our stuff. Made the beds and replenished things as needed. Took out our trash too! (We stayed a week) so THANK YOU TO THE LOVELY & KIND WORKERS!! Pool, grill, connect 4 etc for you to use too! Definitely worth the price. Beds were a little hard woke up with a stiff back usually but a heating pad and some pills make it go away! (Pic of our baby enjoying the hardness of the bed )
